"Stalking Snowshoes"

Scratchboard (12x12in)
ORIGINAL SOLD

Another lovely reference photo from Australian photographer Steve Tracy who resides in Japan. Steve frequents the Tama Zoo of Tokyo where they have nine snow leopards. His passion for the snow leopards is obvious in his beautiful photography. I haven't been so lucky to see a snow leopard in person yet, but I dearly hope I will!! So as an artist I always appreciate wildlife photographers willingness to share their photos with us, when we are not able to gain our own reference photos. This stunning photo is of the 16-month-old snow leopard "Asahi", which translates to "sunrise" in English. I loved the look of the photo with that typical cat pose, ready to pounce!! Thanks again Steve!! :-)
