"Himalayan Grey Ghost"

Scratchboard (20x16in)
ORIGINAL SOLD

Reference photo kindly supplied by Steve Tracy, thanks again Steve for sharing your beautiful images with us artists. One of my most favourite big cats, the endangered snow leopard lives in the high mountains of the Himalayas. It has been nicknamed "grey ghost" as it is so elusive and rarely seen by humans in the wild. I think this has a double meaning if the species doesn't survive due to habitat loss and poaching.
