Miniature pastel and pencil bird studies on deckled paper stained with coffee/tea. This format is designed to be smaller affordable original artworks.
This beautiful wee bird is found only in the North Island of New Zealand, and I come across him at Zealandia Eco Sanctuary, near Wellington, which is a wildlife sanctuary. I spent a bit of time quietly observing him while he flitted about on the forest floor,very near to where we were sitting. The North Island robin occurs in forest and scrub habitats.
