SOLD. This reference photo is of my son Jakob (at 12 years old).
I've been wanting to explore with the tonal values in shadow and light with this kind of portrait, with creating a scratchboard in mind. I borrowed a net curtain and on a sunny day took some b&w photo (as per right).
Working on the portrait in pastel shades from black through to white and getting my hands dirty in the process!
