A simple study of our beautiful native Takahe.

The reference photo was taken at Zealandia EcoSanctuary, such a beautiful place to visit if you are in the region. My most favourite thing to do at Zeaalndia is hang out with the two resident Takahe, I always feels privileged to see them so close, and enjoy capturing some closeup reference photography of these special birds. Currently being exhibited at the "For The Birds Art Show" Zealandia Wellington June-September 2021
